The Domestic Electricity Safety Check & Improvement Grant Scheme is available to assist owners of occupied residential properties (including Landlords and Static Caravans) check if their property is electricity safe; if work is required for a property to meet electrical standards then further assistance is available.

The assistance available under this scheme is,

  • A grant of 100% is available for covering the cost of an electrical safety check (including travel expenses).

If work is required for a property to meet electrical standards,

  • A grant of up to 75% is available for covering the costs of new materials, to a maximum of £750.
  • A grant of up to 25% is available for covering the costs of skilled labour, to a maximum of £200

Applicants can reapply to this grant scheme every 5 years.
