    FIDC is one of the principal partners in the development and delivery of the Economic, Rural and Tourism Development Strategies. FIDC will help delivery these strategies by leading a number of key strategic projects that will aid the development of the Falklands’ economy.

Islands Plan Header

"This Islands Plan is an important document that articulates our collective vision and priorities for the Falkland Islands over the next four years (2014-2018) and beyond.  It describes the key actions that Government will take during the life of this Assembly, and lays the foundations for the future by setting out our plans to address major issues that the Islands will face in the longer term.

The Plan focuses on improving the quality of life of present and future generations by stimulating economic and social development, within the constraints of our limited resources and the need to protect the environment." - Members of the Legislative Assembly

The Vision of the Islands Plan is as follows;

To progress the sustainable, economic, social and political development of the Falkland Islands for the benefit of all residents.

About the FIDC

FIDC acts as the national economic development agency for the Falkland Islands and is tasked to develop the commercial sector of the Falkland Islands by being one of the principal partners delivering the Economic, Rural and Tourism Development Strategies.

To help drive sustainable economic growth and assist in the creation of new jobs and opportunities, FIDC provides various forms of support and assistance to the Falkland’s business community.
