Tom brings a deep connection to the Falkland Islands and a wealth of international experience to the team. Originally from Stanley, Tom has long aspired to return to the Falklands to continue the legacy of his father, Richard Baker, who served as Assistant General Manager and later General Manager of FIDC.

Tom joined the organisation in December 2024, with over nine years of cross-industry experience spanning Cornwall, London, Germany, and New York, Tom has cultivated expertise in areas ranging from global marketing to start-up consulting. He has also worked with businesses in the outdoor, travel, and hospitality sectors, lending his expertise to help them scale and succeed. His passion for fostering growth and innovation aligns perfectly with FIDC’s mission.
