2024 Economic Development Forum

Advert for the 2024 Economic Forum showing the guests.

FIDC and the Rural Business Association invite the entire the community to attend the inaugural Economic Development Forum presented by the Falkland Islands Chamber of Commerce.

Between 2020 and 2022 much of the world was paralysed as nations closed their borders in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. As the world opened back up, it became apparent that everything had changed. For business and trade, what does this mean for the Falkland Islands? The event brings together a small group of experts to examine what is happening in other parts of the world post COVID-19 (change, adaptation, diversification) and where the industries of agriculture, tourism, fishing, connectivity, and trade are all heading, and how the Falkland Islands fits in.

The Economic Development Forum will be held at the beginning of Farmers Week on the 1st and 2nd of July 2024, and the community are invited to attend free of charge.
