Zach, Clare and Farrah were very pleased to attend Careers Day at FICS yesterday, hosting an interactive session which tasked the students to work in groups to create business plans and present them to the FIDC “Dragons” to secure hypothetical funding.
The winning team presented their idea for their new business “All Cheese”, and secured themselves prize vouchers to Rose’s Coffee Shop for their well thought out plan and enthusiastic pitch. They asked for a modest sum of £95,700 to start up their business to manufacture and sell unique flavoured cheese offerings because “there is never enough cheese”.
The other two teams presented their ideas for “Solar Dreams”, which offered solar panel clothing, and “Seaside Academy” which proposed a school for teachers, with all students receiving a bag of goodies.
Well done to all students and thank you to Falkland College for organising another wonderful Careers Day.
