Over the past few months, FIDC has been actively engaging with the Year 11 BTEC Enterprise class at the Falkland Islands Community School (FICS), delivering a series of informative and interactive sessions as part of their ongoing support for youth enterprise education.

These sessions provided students with a valuable insight into the work of FIDC and its role in supporting local economic growth and development. The FIDC team worked closely with the students to help them prepare for their upcoming assessments. This support included in-depth discussions on the essential components of a successful business plan, such as conducting market research, crafting effective pitch proposals, and refining their overall business strategies.

Zachary Franklin, Managing Director of FIDC, highlighted the importance of this initiative, stating, “The Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme (YES!) is designed to inspire and educate the next generation of business leaders in the Falklands. We have been thrilled to host this series of sessions with the Year 11 Enterprise Class and wish the students all the best with their assessments.”
