On Falklands Day 2025, local entrepreneur Pauline Sackett celebrated the launch of her newest venture, ‘Mucky Paws: Pet Supplies’, located at Cabin A10, Hillside Business Park. This exciting new store is dedicated to meeting the needs of pet owners across the Falklands, offering a wide range of products including pet food, toys, treats, accessories, and more.
Pauline is already a familiar name in the local pet care scene. Alongside her husband Iain Thom, she runs ‘Mucky Paws Dog Boarding Kennels and Cattery’ at their property in Fitzroy Settlement, a trusted service for many pet owners across the Islands.
In July 2024, Pauline expanded her services with the opening of ‘Posh Paws: Professional Dog Grooming’, operating from Cabin A9 in the newly renovated Hillside Business Park. Backed by a City & Guilds Level 3 in Dog Grooming and a Canine Health First Aid Certificate from Look North Grooming & Training Centre in North Yorkshire, Pauline offers professional grooming in a purpose-equipped salon. The launch of Posh Paws was supported by FIDC, helping to equip the space with high-spec grooming facilities.
With the addition of ‘Mucky Paws: Pet Supplies’, Pauline continues to grow her mission of providing top-quality care and products for pets across the Falkland Islands.
