Rebecca Clarke appointed FIDC Communications Assistant

FIDC are pleased to introduce Rebecca Clarke, who has joined the team as Communications Assistant.

The exciting new position will support the Business Engagement Officer in the development of promotional material, assisting with the management of FIDC’s online presence, including the delivery of the Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme. Having previously attended the FIDC business breakfast in 2022, Rebecca continued to show her interest in the role FIDC plays within the Falklands economy and now joins the team ready to increase her understanding, share her ideas with the team and become a part of the projects and activities of the Corporation.

Rebecca finished her apprenticeship with Falkland College in July 2024, completing a Level 2 NVQ in Business and Administration. She is most excited to increase her understanding of marketing practices and is particularly looking forward to supporting the development of content across FIDC’s social media channels.

In her free time, she enjoys competing in the Falkland Islands Motorcycle Association, spending time in Camp and going on adventures around the islands accompanied by her dog Bella.

Business Engagement Officer, Jane says: “We are thrilled to welcome Rebecca to the team! She is a passionate and bright addition to the team, and I look forward to mentoring her within this new career opportunity, assisting her in developing her skills and working together to improve the current communications/business engagement offering of the Corporation with our increased capacity. The Communications team are here to help, please don’t hesitate to reach out.”
