James joined FIDC in October 2024 after returning to the Islands with his family.
Originally from West Falkland, James brings a deep connection to the Islands and a wealth of experience from his time working abroad. He has ten years of experience working with the Falkland Islands Government Office (FIGO) in London. His past opportunities include representing the Falkland Islands Government at various political conferences and trade fairs, including attending a United Nations C-24 conference in New York as part of an Islander delegation, and representing the Falklands in an official capacity in Lithuania, Portugal, Spain and Brussels.
James has always been drawn to the mission of FIDC, which he believes plays a crucial role in supporting both the Islands and the Islanders, and he is excited about the chance to contribute to this process and looks forward to meeting people face to face, engaging with them, and exploring their ideas.
