Lane graduated from the University of Sussex in July 2025 with a 2:1 in Marketing and Management with Psychology. During his second-year summer break Lane was offered an internship at Brighton & Hove Council as a Media & Communications Intern where he worked on various communication tasks, with his biggest project being the creation a promotional video.

He first met FIDC at the 2022 Business Breakfast and secured a Marketing Assistant Internship where he led the 2023 Business Breakfast while assisting with marketing activities, workshops and clients.

Lane is a keen fitness fanatic and enjoys going to the gym regularly to keep healthy while also enjoying video games when he finds the time. He has set himself the personal challenge of learning the Georgian language to embrace the other half of his heritage.

Lane says, “Since returning I wanted to expand my skill set in marketing, as well as work with the amazing team at FIDC. I am looking forward to assisting with the Tri-Nation Test Match, and learning as much as I can!”
